“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night…”…can stop an IPA USA Conference!
We will all remember our time in Greenville, SC,11`1 for the 2024 IPA USA Conference. Tropical Storm Helene arrived along with us, creating significant disruption and making safety an urgent priority. (The thoughts and prayers of IPA USA are still with all those who continue to be affected by Helene and Milton.)
But soon, the waters receded, and the spirit of IPA USA persevered. Attendees, presenters, organizers, host locations, hotels, and all participants banded together, not only taking care of one another but finding a way to keep the spirit of the conference alive!
Educational sessions found space in lobbies, vacant rooms, and nooks and crannies. Over 95% of the scheduled educational sessions were held despite the lack of wifi or meeting space. Tour hosts shared their storm recovery experience, as fresh as it was, with their IPA USA guests, creating a shared spirit of gratitude and inspiration. Initially earmarked for canceled tours, box lunches were donated to the local community, feeding over 100 families struggling after the storm.
